Nikita

DucarroZ.

FREESTYLE BMX | OLYMPIC MEDALIST

In 2019 Nikita finished 5th at the UCI Urban Cycling World Championships and 4th at the UCI Freestyle BMX World Cup.  During the Covid-19 pandemic, Ducarroz made the move and entered lockdown at the DDASC training facility in Holly Springs, North Carolina to focus 100% on training.  It paid off with a win at Simple Session 2020, followed by a 2nd at the 2021 UCI World Championships, a win at the European Championships and an

Olympic bronze medal.

This Olympic medal has the scent of resilience for Nikita Ducarroz, victim of anxiety attacks at the age of 13, to the point of not being able to leave her home. Freestyle BMX, which she discovered on YouTube, will allow her to free herself from her demons. “This sport saved my life,” she says. On Instagram, she created the MindTricks account, which helps break the taboo of chronic anxiety (Illustré.ch)

MIND TRICKS

NEW PROJECT ALERT!

Mind Tricks was recently created by Nikita and her friend Patrick Kelly.  Their goal is to fix the lack of conversation around mental health in the action sports world.  Through posts and personal stories on their new Instagram page, they hope to reach those in need and inspire more to speak out and reduce the stigma.
