VANS BMX PRO CUP // Huntington Beach

What a week! It's been a while since I've updated the site. Running all over the world with barely a moment to catch my breath or sleep in my own bed.

A few contests have happened since then...Montpellier World Cup (4th), some smaller events (Austria, Costa Rica, France...).

And finally, coming to a (almost) stop, back here in California for the final stop of the Vans BMX Pro Cup series. I didn't make it to any of the other stops this year so I knew I had to do whatever I could to be in Huntington Beach for this one. Seriously one of the best contests with the best vibes, friends from all over the world right in my backyard. Vans takes such amazing care of the riders, AND has equal pay for both the men and women's classes.

I'm not going to lie, this bowl didn't start out as my favorite. I definitely felt out of my comfort zone, not being able to do the typical box jump tricks I'm comfortable with. It was amazing nonetheless, taking a break from the typical contest format I am used to and switching it up.

There is nothing better than a great week with the people you love. And that's exactly what the Pro Cup was. Topping it off with a podium finish was just amazing. I was bummed to loop out of the 540 at the end, that really would have made my week. But it happens and I'm glad everyone walked away generally unscathed. That's a win in my book.

Thank you VANS, my friends and family, and everyone who was a part of making this amazing event happen. Can't wait for next year!
